Can I give my 1 year old? Can I give my 1 year old some Children's Tylenol Cold medicine? According to the tylenol dosing chart she can have 3/4 teaspoon. I keep hearing that it is bad for them. I am totally confused. She is all congested but the mucus coming out is clear so it doesnt look like infection. What should I do??

Breezy replied: "There is no reason to give it to her... I would just let nature take its course.. are you sure its not allergies?"

Ophelia_Ogaard replied: "I would ask the pediatrician. It could be an allergy too."

santobugito replied: "I am one that believes in children's medicine when it is needed, and the directions can be followed. I won't think twice about giving my kids cold medication at bed time to help them sleep when they are congested. Where you run into problems is not reading the instructions and overdosing the kid. Like if there's acetaminophen in it and giving them tylenol for fever, you've just doubled the amount of tylenol your child needs. Make sure you know everything you are giving your daughter and if it doesn't seem like its helping, do not give her more."

Debbie V replied: "The drs. would say to rinse her nostrils with a bulb syringe & normal saline. I would say to find a cold medicine with sudaphedrine. Keep the baby's head elevated. If she needs to sit in the car seat, or the swing, okay. As long as the mucus is clear, you're in safe haven. But if her temperature spikes and green stuff comes out, better head for the dr's office. TX Mom"

♥ Braves Fan ♥ replied: "Like breezy said above let nature run its course.. I dont believe letting a child suffer with a fever or runny nose.. just ask a pharmacist and they'll tell you."

Hannah's mommy replied: "NO! THESE MEDS HAVE BEEN PULLED OFF THE SHELF AND RELABELED. THEY ARE NOT TO BE USED FOR CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 4. "

Jennifer R replied: "I wouldn't give tylonol for a cold but thats me. Tylonol wont fix congestion. Instead, use a humidifier or vaporizer. Run a super hot shower and sit in the bathroom with her with the door closed to have her breath in the steam to make her nose run."

pgarox replied: "Don't allow your children to become addicted and dependent on drugs. Our society takes drugs for everything. They are bad for you in most cases. Your body simply doesn't require them, except in extreme situations. Let nature heal your baby."

My 1 year old is sick..what should i do? Today was his 1st birthday. He woke up with a slight fever. it reached 102.5 earlier. his appetite hasn't been as good as it normally is. every time i try to give him tylenol he throws up. he seems to be in a good mood. his fever was 101.7 about an hour ago. i tried to give him more tylenol but he threw up right after he swallowed. (he has thrown up a total of 3 times today - all right after the tylenol dose) i plan on taking him to the doctor tomorrow, but is there anything that i should do now? also, he has a new tooth coming in and his nose is running (its a little green in color but only slightly). Some people have said that the fever may be from the new tooth, but he shouldn't have such a high fever. Anyone know what i should do?

Colleen O replied: "Take him to the doctor."

kyrandiae replied: "I have my first on the way, but I would imagine that the fever's kind of high to be attributed to just a tooth coming in. If he has an appointment tomorrow I would keep an eye on him for tonight. Is he keeping fluids down at least? If so then he should be ok for the night. If you think that anything gets worse, I would call his doc. Hope he feels better!"

K replied: "just watch him through the night and get him to the doctor in the morning as running high fevers is bad for children...harmful to the brain. if U really feel U need to and the fever is not breaking...soak him in a tub or luke warm/body temp water (test with wrist s U did for bottles). That will help break fever for a little while. But do get him to the doctor in the morning...that is if he still has that high fever."

pink panter replied: "It could be for the tooth. When my daughter was 1 year old, she had the same symptoms,. For the fever you can give to him a little shower with warm water that can be help him to reduce the fever."

Soul Rebel replied: "Get him to the doctor....NOW!"

Sunny replied: "Yeah - to the Dr ASAP - high fevers in young ones like this can cause serious brain damage that will affect your baby for the rest of his life. I wouldn't be too careful - you can always go to the ER, which sucks financially, but is much better than an irreparable brain trauma. I don't want to scare you, but these CAN be dangerous and are nothing to fool with. I would say better safe than sorry here."

mummyBlur replied: "No matter is there a tooth growing which may caused a slight temperature or not, you still gotta bring to the doctor. Cos he's only 1 yrs."

Angie P. replied: "He's probably just teething. Since you can't get him to keep down the Tylenol, have you tried Baby Anbasol or Baby Numzit? Just rub it on his gums where the new tooth is coming in. You can also give him a wet washcloth that has been in the freezer for a bit and let him chew on it. Good luck!"

Denisey replied: "It my sound crazy, but don't give him milk only water or 7 up. Because he might have a stomach virus... If the temperature continuous over 100. Take him to ER immediate. because the temperature is very dangers. Also put alcohol in his socks and give him a bath with cold water that will bring the temperature down... My mom taught me this when my baby was sick. And don't give him more Tylenol... Good luck please take him to see the doctor..."

LemonTea replied: "My kids used to throw up liquid Tylenol, and Tylenol makes me a little nauseous; so that's one issue. His fever is another issue. Since he won't keep down the Tylenol, watch him until you get him to a doctor. Babies can have febrile seizures if their fever goes too high too quickly. So stay up and watch him. I've been told (or read, I forget) that if there is white mucous it means there is an infection. When the mucous turns green it means there was an infection and this is the old stuff that is clearing out. Make sure his diapers get still getting wet if he's been throwing up, although doing that three times (rather than all day long) and not having diarrhea would make dehydration less of a worry). When they're fevering they don't act well (as you know), but sometimes they're just kind of cranky while other times they'll get so they're clearly very, very, fevery and very sick. If he gets so he's looking too sick and lethargic and "off" get him to a doctor tonight. If, by any chance, he sounds at all croupy in the night get him to a hospital immediately. (I just comment on this in case his fever turns into something croupy rather than just being a fever.)"

Angela M replied: "Sounds like a sinus infection. All the nose running from the teething can cause a sinus infection (babies can't blow the stuff out, so it sits there and festers), which can cause the fever, greenish nasal discharge, and vomiting due to post nasal drip(all that snot on the sensitive tummy). The Tylenol on that tummy won't help, either. Teething in and of itself doens't cause a fever, no matter WHAT people say. Fevers are caused by infections. Period. And, while 102 is high, it's not dangerous. If his temp gets to 104, then call the Emergency Room. The only reason you have for taking him the ER at this point is if you you don't have insurance and have to use public health services, and you don't seem to fit into that category. Try to keep him hydrated, use cool compresses on the forehead and body to ease the fever discomfort, and keep his head elevated slightly to ease the nasal discharge running down his throat. A little Vicks VapoRub will help him breathe easier at night so he can get some rest. His being in a good mood is a good sign that he doesn't feel as bad as he looks. Happy Birthday, Sweetie! Sorry you're sick!"

kilroymaster replied: "I do hope that you have seen a doctor if not please do so, And it you can't afford to then there has to be a free clinic in your area. Please call the board of health and ask them to direct you to a free clinic in your area Now Please........................................"

blood_shadow_walks replied: "OMG When anyone has a fever of 102.5 or heck just 102 you take them to the freaking hosptial right way girl! what you should do is get ur coat and shoes on put his on him and take him to the hospital now!"

FabMom replied: "A fever is the body's reaction to a bacterial infection. Bacteria have a very small range of temperatures they can grow at. The body is raising the temperature to fight off the bacteria. By giving him Tylenol, you are taking down the fever and thus stifling the body's natural defense against the bacteria. Do not try to take the fever down, but do monitor it. If it reaches 104 or if he becomes lethargic, take him to the hospital immediately. But as long as his condition stays the same, just watch him and take him to the doctor in the morning."

ddbach1 replied: "The fever may be from the teething or he may have a cold. Either way, you can give him a lukewarm, cool, NOT COLD bath. A cold bath could possibly put him into shock. Try giving him Motrin if he can't handle the Tylenol and do not give him milk. What method did you use to take his temp? As long as his fever is going down and does not go over what it was, then waiting until he sees the doctor is fine. Just keep a close eye on him. You may even try putting cool clothes on him, just a t shirt and a diaper would be good. Hope this helps!"

tlkpooh replied: "Hi there! So sorry you're little man is not feeling well. My son is 13 months old and is just getting over the flu. My suggestions to you would be: Give him a lukewarm bath. Give as much as he wants to drink (water or Pedialyte or juice mixed with water), no milk or formula though. If he is formula fed, switch to Pedialyte until he has gone 12 or more hours without throwing up. Popsicles work great to get fluids into your child, too. Keeping him hydrated is very important. If his temperature goes back up, I would take him to the emergency room. I would err on the side of caution. The doctors and nurses are very understanding when it comes to children and especially first time parents. Tip for next time: When he can't keep Tylenol down orally, they make Tylenol in suppository form. A doctor told me about them when I had my son in the ER. I always keep some on hand for just such a situation. You get them over the counter at the pharmacy. I hope that your son will be feeling better soon. Relax and take a deep breath...You're doing a great job!! Good luck to you both!!"

brittneyn127 replied: "If he can't handle the Tylenol then you should put him in the bath tub and give him something cool to drink or something like a teething ring. Make sure he gets plenty of fluids especially with him throwing up and with a fever. Hope he gets better."

Bran replied: "Having a fever that is lower then 102 is ok. If it gets higher then that take him to the ER immediatly. If you take him in before that they won't do anything for him. It could all possibly be from him teething. His nose running like that could just mean he has a cold and a doctor will not do anything for a cold. They will tell you it has to run it's course. If you find that he is getting stopped up in the night you can try using a cool mist humidifer, or turning your shower on as hot as it will get and have him sit in there for about 15 mins at a time that will help open him up. I have found that if tylenol doesn't work with the fever you can try alternating tylenol and children's or infants motrin ever 4-6 hours. He could possibly be throwing up do to the mucos running down the back of his throat. It will cause them to gag and the only natural response to that is stuff will come up with it. Take his good mood as a good sign. Although some children will run around as if nothing is wrong with them...it just depends on the child. Hope some of this helps. Happy Birthday to your little one. Also one more thing is a great source for your concerns."

characterofsorts replied: "Lower the tylenol dose. If he still throws it up, use Motrin instead. Sometimes, a dose could be too strong and cause them to vomit. Next, make sure he stays warm. Its most likely just a sinus infection. They'll give you some medicine when you go to the doctor that will clear up the sinus mess. Give him extra comfort and make sure you keep pumping liquids into him. You want him to stay hydrated. Otherwise, you're doing a great job. And there's nothing to worry about, this kind of stuff happens."

Any home remedies for a 1 year old child cough? I've already given her some medicine over an hour ago, but she's still coughing. She can't even go to sleep because as soon as she doses off, she starts coughing. She is frustrated and I feel bad for her because she can't get her rest. I gave her some tylenol cold&cough medicine but it doesn't seem to stop her from coughing. Any other ideas on what I can try? Thanks!

sr22racing replied: "The only thing I can think of that might help her out is putting her in a tub for a minute. This will cause the vapors from the warm water to enter into her lungs, (act like a humidifier) This will help break up the crap that is in her lungs, and also make it easier to blow nose. good luck, I hate having sick kiddos."

niprut replied: "I used to give my children a teaspoon of honey. It will coat the throat and they won't cough as much. You could also see if you can get her to drink a little warm tea w/honey and lemon in it"

Dr. King replied: "dear parent please put some drops of ginger in a tablespoon of honey and feed it to your child for 3 days twice daily....and you will c the difference....this is a home remeady and please done keep your child on medicine in such an early stage.... what im also anticipating is dear parent you are also not keep too well....So please eat properly and then feed the baby properly....PLEASE REMEMBER.....MOTHERS MILK IS BEST FOR THE BABY AND ITS THE BEST NATURAL MEDICINE THAT CAN BENEFIT THE BABY..... A Sincear request : Please dont give a lot of medicines to your kid....Its not good at such an early stage....."

aprillindee replied: "vicks vapor rub, humidifier, vaporizor, prop her mattress up with pillows. are you sure it's cold, it could be allergies."

doom92556 replied: "Elevate her head with a pillow or place the pillow under the crib mattress. On really bad coughing at night I give my children the Robuttusin DM (expectorant). Both my children have asthma and allergies (my youngest has a nebulizer AND gets chronic bronchitis) and the pediatrician recommended the Robuttusin. For dosage talk to the pharmacist/pediatrician. My youngest weighed 32 lbs at a year so I gave him 1/2 tsp. I don't believe in medicating but when it makes the babies sleep more restful..."

munkees81 replied: "My son had a similar problem a few weeks ago. I gave him the same medicine. It helped, but I also gave him cold water or warm tea to drink and used Vicks Baby Vapor Rub and it seemed to help him a lot. You can also try turning on a hot shower and sit with her in the steamy bathroom for awhile. It'll help relax her throat and loosen up any congestion."

Jill h replied: "hi, if tylenol doesnt help, i would take her to the doctors! they will gave her something for her cough, or you can gave her robutissian cough medis you have to gave it to her every 6hrs -8hrs! and see if that helps if that doesnt help take her to the doctors!"

Chilrends Tylenol Cold Multi-Symptom for a 2 year old? My son is really congested and is running a fever. I remembered the whole controversy with kids being over-dosed or whatever but....now that hes 2 i figured it would be alright to give him some. I only gave him 1/4 teaspoon and the dosage for a 6 year old was like..2 tsp or something. So is that ok or should i be worried it will harm him?

Christine M replied: "I think that is fine. I do that with my daughter all the time. I probably wouldn't have done it if her pediatrician didn't recommend them. Just be sure not to mix it with any other types of medicines and you should be fine. Don't forget to plug up the vaporizer at night and use the Vicks. I think you can start using regular Vicks at 2."

Expecting #2 in December. replied: "Kids younger then 4 will not benefit from cold meds. It probably wont help. It's better if you give regular tylenol and a humifier. Or baby vicks rub on his chest for congestion. I have the Pedicare vapor plug in for my son when he gets congestion, its non-medicated vapors."

ChaCha replied: "Christine is correct but for the nose go to any pharmacy like Rite Aid or CVS and ask for a Saline Nose Spray/Drops. You can use this for infants as well. It's non-medicated and alcohol-free. It's specially formulated for infants and older children."

Emma&Laura'sMumMum replied: "It is fine, just remember to not give him anything else. No extra tylenol or anything like that. You could actually give him 1/2 teaspoon. Dr. Sears has recommendations on his website for cold medicines."

As a camp nurse for 9-12 year olds, you are administering 2 1/2 teaspoonsful of oral liquid Tylenol to 6 fever As a camp nurse for 9-12 year olds, you are administering 2 1/2 teaspoonsful of oral liquid Tylenol to 6 feverish campers every 4 hours for oral temperatures above 1ooF. you have on hand a 4 ounce bottle of liquid tylenol. Flu shot reaction in 1-year-old?? Hello- My daughter received her first dose of the flu shot without any problems. We got her booster on Thurs and she has been running fevers and vomiting (yesterday morning and this morning). The fevers have finally started to break after doses of the Tylenol and Ibuprofen every 3 hour regimen. Her fevers are still running around 100, however she is teething. Have your children had any similar symptoms?? Is this common after a booster of a flu shot? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

amosunknown replied: "The flu vaccine often uses a live culture, usually its inactive and most immune systems dont react to it as though it were a full blown case of the flu virus. However, one of the side effects of the flu shot, or any viral vaccine using an inactive or live culture, is a lesser or mild case of that virus. Its uncommon, but totally acceptable. Her teething also plays a huge roll in this. She can vomit and run a fever with teething alone. Either way, things should be better within 5 days, since viruses such as the flu only have a 10 day life span, but things start to improve half way through. If her fever stays up over 101 even with tylenol and ibuprophin then you need to take her to the doctor and make sure its nothing more complicated like advanced strep throat, or a bacterial infection of some kind. Obviously you'd take her to the ER or atleast call your doctor if you're in anyway concerned for her safety."

muscgrad2002 replied: "The flu shots in SC are INACTIVE so should not cause a problem....I was not aware they were still giving live vaccines as the previous writer mentioned.....or that they were a series of shots. Are you talking about the RSV/synagis vaccine? That is a monthly vaccine for the RSV. The teething will cause fever...at this point I would just treat the symptoms like you are doing."

tracy_one_99 replied: "These symptoms can be caused by the flu vaccine, however if she did fine with her first dose it could be that she got another virus on top of everything else. All you can do is let the symptoms run their course. Once she stops vomiting then you can giver her small sips of gatorade or pedialyte but other than that the bug just has to leave her system"

My four year old had a fever overnight, but appears better this morning. Anyone with similar exp or ideas? She woke up around midnight. She was crying and had a fever around 101. She slept with us for the rest of the night, but woke up every 30 minutes - sometimes 1 hour (normally she sleeps okay when she sleeps with us). She moaned and whined all night. I have given her 2 doses of tylenol (12:00 and 5:00). I called in so that I could stay home with her, but now she seems fine. Also, she complained with a headache early afternoon yesterday. She is a twin, was born premature, has asthma (mild), has had bronchitis and pneumonia numerous times due to premature lung disease. Any ideas what is going on?

morgancutie replied: "It sounds viral to me, but with her history, I'd call her pediatrician and let him know what transpired just to be on the safe side. He may want to take a look at her, or just have you watch her. Good luck."

AJM replied: "As a mother of 2, I can honestly say that sometimes they have had a fever and we never knew the cause of it. A fever generally is the body's natural way of trying to get rid of an infection. Maybe nature took its course and it did exactly what it was trying to do. On the other side, it may come back tonight or later on, so keep a close eye on that fever (as I am sure that you are, you sound like a mom that is in tune with her child)"

ReubenTheTadpole replied: "Well, kids always have fevers that come and go. It often looks intense, but it goes away quickly. If you're concerned, call your doctor."

nickname replied: "I remember my kids would often run fevers, and wake up fine. What I've then heard is, that it's common for them to spike a fever late afternoon (after the doctor's office is closed) and run lowest in the morning. I would 'wait it out' only to have them spike again. So, no one knows their kids better than mom or dad, bring her in if you think she needs to go. Ear infection? Have a friend who's baby was just daignosed with RSV. Good luck>"

gator_trio replied: "She could be teething...that can cause fever and cold-like symptoms. Check her gums. If you are really concerned call the doc."

My Mother accidentally gave my Daughter Infant Tylenol 2 hours before she was supposed to have her dose? I told her the time she could have it at 8 and she misunderstood and thought I said 6...Is this going to cause Liver Damage? or overdose? should I take her to the ER? She is 1 year old

Sarah replied: "She will be fine. She didn't overdose, she just had it a little early."

rowleypolieolie replied: "she should be fine because you didnt give her 2 doses- you just gave them a little too close- as long as you followed the dosing directions they make them very low compared to an overdose"

tropicalrose11 replied: "she may be perfectly all right, but u never know. If you really care about her, you won't take chances and will get her help. Call poison control, or take her to the ER. Don't neglect what you might regret later! Good luck!"

Christine1123 replied: "She's fine. Giving it two hours early just once isn't going to hurt her. It's not like it's a prescription drug or anything."

TK replied: "she is ok. i remember i gave my infant son motrin and tylenol at the same time, not understanding they should be 4 hr apart, but ur babe may be a bit lathargic. liver damage isnt a major concern because it was a norm dosage. whenever your prescribe motrin or tylenol is actually an increased amount, but same over the counter ingredients. i hope i made since. ur baby is okay though."

Pedsgurl replied: "I wouldn't worry. Just keep a close eye on her but she'll probably be completely fine."

Lisa replied: "A dangerous Tylenol overdose is only 2 times the maximum dose. So the person who said it is hard to overdose is wrong. I doubt the ER would do anything in this case, but it wouldn't hurt to call Poison Control just to be sure. I encourage you to research the dangers of Tylenol, especially for a very young child. Tylenol in any amount is very hard on the liver, and it depletes glutathione in the body."

Please help my 2 year old!? My daughter had had a cold since friday. She went to bed last night fine, was fine all night and even this morning (got up earlie than normal but still fine.). We went out for lunch today and she was a little whiny, but just assuming she wasn't feel so good we left early. She cried all the way home, and then cried as if she was in pain when we got home not knowing what was wrong I gave her the correct dose of Tylenol. She feel asleep at about 1:30 (close to her average nap time.) she slept till 4:30 (longer than average) she woke up ate a late lunch, was completely fine herself again like nothing was wrong. Now tonight at alittle later than normal bedtime she starts complaining that her finger hurts taking her out of bed and looking at it and seeing nothing wrong she then screams of her right arm hurting, then her left and then just the right she kept touching it and trying to pinch it almost like she couldn't feel it or so. She would calm down alittle and then start screaming again. We gave her half a dose of tylenol and called the nurse who said that if she calms down to just wait it out. She did calm down like less than 20 min later and is now sleeping soundly and just woke alittle moving around I gave her a bottle in bed and she used both arms/hands to hold the bottle and moved then around without seeming to be in any pain. I plan to bring her in first thing in the morning but figured I ask if anyone knows anything to ease my mind for the night! Thank you!

? replied: "I dont know whats wrong with her arm. She may have landed on it or it just hurts... but talk to the doctor and find out.. She is 2 have you considered taking her OFF the bottle and using "big girl" cups with spill proof... like sippy cups. Using a bottle this late in life can cause dental harm... consider switching!"

cowgirl_power82 replied: "Did she maybe roll over and sleep on her hand and arm there for make it go to "sleep". The pins and needles feeling sometimes hurts me and for a 2 yr old could be scary, as well as a little painfull."

goth_rogue_3891 replied: "I'm not a doctor, which is definitely the place you want to go ASAP even if she seems fine in the morning, but just as a possibility, my daughter was complaining last year about her arm and not being able to move it. When I took her to the doctor, thinking she had a sprain or a break, he did an x-ray 7 told me that it was Nursemaid's Elbow. It was just that her elbow had gone out of joint a little bit. No casts, braces, or anything, thank god. I hope that's all it is for your little one. Seriously though, get her to the doctor so she feels better."

Jennathom replied: "I'm glad your taking her in, which is the best thing to do, and what most would tell you anyway. Who knows what could be wrong. Maybe she is having some severe 'growing pains', which I've heard some kids can feel more than others. Maybe she did do something to her arm, or something else and it only effects her every now and then. Just get through tonight the best you can, and hopefully tomorrow there will be some answers for you. If you don't mind, if they figure out what it is, update us on your question - I'd be curious to know what they say. Hang in there, I"m sure it will all turn out ok."

bobcatlady2u replied: "I can only guess to say she probably has an ear infection if you said she has a cold. At that age they still can't tell you what is wrong and that is probably why she said her finger hurt."

tiffanie001 replied: "Sounds like an ear infection. They get worse when laying down and will get even worse if you give a bottle without propping her up. I have one of those ear infection detectors and they've always worked for me. My son is 3 now and has not had any since he had tubes put in his ears. He used to try and tell me about his pain by pointing or touching other places...they do that because the pain is bad and can't really communicate too well yet."

Well Is it heart failure? ... Defenseless 25 year old Doesnt want help, Just a case analysis if ur in the know? OMG if you make it through reading this whole thing Il be more shocked than if I'm alive in 200 years. Hi im 6ft 1 in, extremely thin and 25 year old male. This spring I willfully and abruptly gave up abusing bad drugs that were getting in the way of my life. I was put on Adderall (works great) this June and later Ativan which I seldom take for once severe but progressively diminishing "post addict w/d acute anxiety". RIGHT WHEN I STARTED ADDERALL I quickly noticed that my heart has significant um Rhythm issues. Daily Palpitations of varying degrees, high resting rate, and blood pressure so erratic It can be as low as 86/67 and jump to 160/100 within just a few hours. The home monitor I have throws an "irregular heart rhythm" about 1 out of every 5 times I check. The palpatations and arrhythmias are physically noticeable, often but not always accompanying torso fatigue, and shortness of breath. Some skipped or irregular beats happen for just several seconds while others can form "episodes" lasting an hour or two. Conveniently none of this has been caught at the Hospital EKG and my CT brain scan came back clean to rule out stroke. I cant afford Holter monitoring. I don't have much or any chest pain of a localized nature But sometimes momentary disturbance to my breathing pattern or rarely, shooting pains to my neck or down my left shoulder when my blood pressure is at its highest. . On days I do not take my adderall my heart will somewhat more stable, and the rate will drop, but still subject to irregular beats and circulation trouble/postural hypotension and low blood pressure will be awful, dropping to dangerously low levels when Im erect even if I choose to take caffeine or less often, smoke to compensate. One night this August in Arizona, I had an isolated 2 hour period of OBVIOUS ATRIAL FIRBILLATION. I fell asleep that way and since that particular irregularity has not resurfaced. The AF episode I suspect may have been triggered by combining marijuana with a normal dose of Tylenol Nightime Cold flu syrup and I now um avoid both. TO summarize, Ive experienced mostly isolated a large grab bag of scary symptoms randomly show or dont show like a "classroom attendance" by each particular "Arrhythmia session". These sympoms include from most to least frequent: thumping in chest, Inability to catch breath lying OR standing, vague numbness on left side face/scalp/ or right foot/lower leg. Mild and short duration blood pooling in hands and feet comorbid SEVERE postural hypotension. Anxiety (less frequent now), On some occasions Il get a feeling of shortness of breath where I feel as though the air i breathe does not contain oxygen... AND when I went to the ER 3 months ago about this major problem i was diagnosed as having anxiety after minimal and not so comprehensive testing. I believed him, until the symptoms carried on and the only problem the Benzos would help was the worry itself. Il be progressing through my day happy and carefree and wont mind as my heart sets off a period of Disrhythimic heartbeat, then shortness of breath, fatigue and exhaustion. Il adapt and say "Oh well Im gonna die but thats okay" instead of a panic which might have ensued back in the summer, I simply slow my pace or take a breather or worse, il smoke a cigarette cuz for 8 years ive smoked like twice a month. Sometimes happy moments or excitement trigger an arrhythmia. Strangely, excersize seems to only IMPROVE the conditions as long as I dont do it while on adderall. " So in essence the panic attacks might not be a panic attack. .... sometimes weakening my blood flow. Finally, the latest develoment that just has started occuring is that my vision and muscular coordination have become mildly compromised but this may or may not be due to ativan. Id be surprised if my heart held up to all my rough past only to be stamped out by a low dose therapeutic relatively less toxic amphetamine. Some have told me my body is still detoxing and the stimulation from the unfamiliar adderall creates elecrical circuit and other organic malfunction possibly related to arrhythmia, But its been a good 5 months now and I remain physically stagnant or possibly slowly deteriorating. Id like to bet giving up the adderall meds would help for sure but I cant do that at this time If I do, and ive tried, Il immediately be placed at risk for re-entering my old lifestyle and thats NOT what I need. So folks? im 25, cute and thin... But my body is sick as a raw pot roast you accidentally stuck in the cupboard instead of the fridge before heading away for the weekend. Now I know most of you will say I NEED TO GO SEE A DOCTOR and yes while that is ULTIMATELY the only way to CERTIFY a diagnois, Aside from an emergency its NOT AN OPTION for me at this time so I figure the best I can do is post these and get some intelligent insight and that way i can manage myself best until I CAN see a doctor. Finally Some history to factor in: I was given HIGH doses of ritali

pacemaker replied: "better see a doctor"
